Memory Care in Aliso Viejo
our Memory Care Enhancement Program is designed to stimulate and nurture memory preservation and development. We utilize smaller group activities and tiered activity programs specifically targeting each resident's capabilities. Our caring staff is trained in programming, activity planning, and implementation. Entertainers, movie nights, interactive games, group events, and a weekly live musical presentation all add to our residents enjoyment. Our home-like atmosphere encourages participation. We also have a 17-passenger bus that is wheelchair-accessible and transports residents to outings at local beaches, scenic drives, parks, and recreational centers; all supervised by our highly-trained staff. We take care of meal planning, shopping and preparation.
We have designed our services to relieve our residents and their families from the daily chores that are necessary for a happy and thriving life, yet have become difficult for seniors to maintain on their own.
· Three nutritious meals are served every day. The food is prepared by professionally trained chefs using an array of wholesome ingredients that include locally grown and organic produce when available, as well as fresh meats, seafood and poultry.
· Our community members dine and socialize in one of our six cozy "neighborhood" dining rooms where meals are served family-style. To handle those between-meal hankerings, there are snacks served periodically throughout the day as well.
We take care of weekly housekeeping and linen service.
· Residents and their families no longer need to be concerned about vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the kitchen and bathroom, or changing and laundering the sheets.
· Our residents can choose the comfort and security of their own private assisted living suite; however some people prefer a shared suite for more companionship and affordability. For those who wish to further personalize their suite, there's an optional choice of three color palettes for the walls. For relaxing in their new home, a wide selection of channels and movies are available via cable TV.
· Each attractive and spacious suite has an attached private bathroom, with convenient walk-in shower, shower chair and built-in water wand for safe and easy bathing.

· We offer the convenience of on-site recreational and service amenities that are so important to senior citizens, and that help keep them active and engaged with life.
· A full-service beauty salon with grooming and personal hygiene professionals is available so our residents can receive regular styling, haircuts, manicures and other services that help them look and feel their best.
· A large multi-purpose room hosts group activities that our residents can participate in. Our instructor-led exercise classes make it easy for our seniors to stay physically active no matter what activity level they're at. We offer a variety from chair exercises to Tai Chi.
· The staff-led group games -- like bowling, Trivia and Bingo are fun, and provide opportunities for our residents to get to know our Aliso Laguna Villa team members as well as their neighbors in a friendly and relaxed environment.
· Other activities range from weekly live entertainment, to Bible studies, to monthly ladies' Red Hat Society meetings, and gentlemen's Poker games, as well as regular get-togethers for family members.
· Holidays are always festive occasions. We like to celebrate them with colorful decorations and delicious food that the residents, their families and guests can all enjoy.
· For tranquility and quiet moments, there are four secured patios offering expansive views, abundant green plants and the soothing sounds of water features.
· There are three secured gardens for those who enjoy the outdoors, who like to spend time strolling among the flowers, or who want to do some gardening of their own.
· Bird watching is a popular pastime among seniors, so we maintain Finch aviaries in the community areas of each floor. Enjoying the Finches doesn't require strenuous activity, and the aviaries provide a stimulating connection with nature.
Medical Care for Residents
One of the primary benefits of assisted living is the access to 24-hour medical care and continuous supervision when it's needed. Our residents and their family members feel reassured that we are just across the sidewalk from Kaiser Permanente, and only a few minutes' drive from several other Orange County medical facilities (Mission Hospital, South Coast Medical Center, and Saddleback Memorial Medical Center).
Regular medical care is part of the weekly or monthly routine for most of our senior residents. We understand how important it is for them to maintain their health and keep their appointments, so we offer convenient transportation to physicians' offices. Finding the time to drive back and forth for doctor visits is never a worry for our residents or their families.
